The National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) issues Child Registration Certificates, commonly known as B-forms, to all minors in Pakistan. It is the fundamental right of every child to be registered with NDRA.
NADRA has streamlined the Child Registration certificate process, making it more convenient. These certificates can be obtained by presenting official birth certificate documentation from the union council.
Parents must possess either a National Identity Card (NIC) or a National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) to apply for their child’s B-form. It is a legal requirement for parents to register their children within three months of their birth.
NADRA B-Form Fee for April 2024:
In April 2024, the regular fee for obtaining a B-form is Rs 50, while NADRA charges Rs 500 for executive services.
Requirements for B-Form:
1. Proof of Birth
2. Parents’ ID cards
3. Nikkah Naama (marriage certificate)
Application Process for B-Form:
Visit the nearest NADRA office with the child’s computerized birth certificate and one parent or a court-appointed guardian.
If both parents are present, one will apply while the other serves as a verifier. If only one parent is available, the application form must be endorsed by a Gazetted Officer or public representative (such as MNAs, MPAs, or municipal officials).
The child must be present to receive the identity card during the application process.
A photograph of the child and their fingerprints will be taken if they are aged 10 or older.
